The Master Series is a rare opportunity to experience intensive dance training with internationally acclaimed guest faculty. This comprehensive program of challenging daily classes in ballet techniques, variations, partnering, pointe, repertoire, character and performance will consist of a rigorous two-hour technique and pointe class, followed by a rotating schedule of enrichment classes. Each session will culminate with a studio showing under the guidance of our international faculty.
Week I August 3-7
Irina Vakhromeeva is the Associate Director of the
East Street School of Ballet. She is a graduate of the
Vagonova Academy, St.Petersburg, Russia and a former
Soloist and Principal dancer with the Moscow Ballet.
From 1995-2002 she was Children’s Ballet Mistress and
advance person for Moscow Ballet’s United States tour.
Robert Underwood joined American Ballet Theater in
1981 under the direction of Baryshnikov. He worked
with many ballet luminaries including Balanchine, Petit,
MacMillan, DeMille and McKenzie. In 1996 he accepted
Bruce Marks’ invitation to join Boston Ballet, where he
remained until his retirement in 2002.
Week II August 10-14
Vitaly Verterich is on the Resident Faculty of Valentina
Koslova’s Dance Conservatory of New York. Guest Artists
with Bolshoi Theater, Kirov Ballet and other International
companies, he is principal dancer with Riverdance on
Broadway.
Olga Verterich performed with the Academical Choreographic
Ensemble “Beriozka” and Russian Chamber
Ballet “Moskva.” Ms. Verterich has toured France, Italy,
China, South America, North America and Canada, and
joined St. Petersburg Conservatory as principal dancer,
ballet teacher, and choreographer.
Week III August 17-21
Andre Reyes has been Principal dancer with San Francisco
Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet and has worked
with numerous world renowned choreographers. He
has made guest appearances with the San Francisco
Symphony and Opera, Smuin Ballet/SF, International
Gala Performances, and Kennedy Center and on tv in
Dance In America (WNET). He is currently on the faculty
of the Boston Ballet School.
Cynthia Drayer trained at the Joffrey American Ballet
Center. She was Principal Dancer with San Francisco Ballet
and has performed with the Lawrence Pech Dance
Company and San Francisco Opera. She was a director
of Santa Clara Ballet and is currently Director of Boston
Ballet Classical Ballet Program.

Tuition $400 first week; $25 discount for each additional week
Housing is available with a host family on a first come first serve basis. The fee for housing is $300 per week. Housing availability is limited so register early.
Lunch All dancers will need to bring their own lunch and snacks. There will be a variety of cold drinks and water for sale at the studio.
Weekend ExcursionsAll students are welcome to participate in weekend excursions to Jacob’s Pillow and other cultural and educational events. Cost is not included in tuition.

In two or four week sessions, students will participate in a daily ballet
technique class followed by a rotating schedule of classes such as
jazz, modern, musical theater, Flamenco and Classical Indian Dance.
This inclusive approach promotes students’ appreciation of dance in
all its many wonderful forms. The program culminates with a lively
end-of-workshop presentation for family and friends.
Tuition $300 for two week session.
TEEN AND ADULT CLASSES

This class is specially created for students who wish to fine-tune and
perfect their technique. It is a great opportunity to extend year-long
training and maintain peak physical shape.
